  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: Yes, in the Vicarage House. The whole living with all Appurtenances but a scanty Provision for a Clergyman.

  2. Other benefices: No.

  3. Divine service at other churches: Alternately with Wythicombe Rawleigh.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Alternately at each Parish.

  5. Frequency of communion: Four Times. About 50.

  6. Catechising of children: In Summer on sev[era]l Sundays.

  7. Church fabric: In tolerably good Repair. Flooring not so well as it should be but designed to be new done (but it may be by Degrees) with Free Stone.

  8. Glebe terrier: I have heard there is one in the Archives of the Cathedral. I have none myself.

  9. Number of families: About 70 I believe.

  10. Chapels: No.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: One reputed Papist, name Mary Chanon. A Meeting House for Dissenters at one End of the Parish for adjoyning Parishes & This Teacher Samuel Leake living in Otterton.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: Two or three Dwellings for the Poor. 14s to the Poor out of Pulhays in this Parish 11s 8d called Wottons Gift out of another to the Poor 40s to the Poor from Drake's Charity. Half a Field near Honiton which Moiety is set at £3 3s 0d clear given by one Pring to purchase Dowlas for 8 Poor Men who have no Pay from the Parish.

  13. Charity: 3 Pounds a year for ornamenting the Church or Repairs Gift of one Algood out of His Estate in Salterton in this Parish. £7 to a preaching Min: from Drake's Charity now paid to the Vicar.
